Luke 8:50 explainedThis verse is a line from one of the stories of Jesus' powers in healing in the Bible. A ruler for a local synagogue, Jairus, had a daughter who fell very ill. He had heard stories passed on about Jesus' greatness, and his powers with healing others, so he asked that Jesus cure his daughter. While Jesus was on his way to help, he got distracted helping another woman, and Jairus' daughter died. However, Jesus told Jairus to not be afraid, and that his faith would bring her back. Jairus' daughter was then brought back to life, demonstrating the miracle's that Jesus could accomplish, and that just merely having faith can save so many.
