This verse describes how Jesus spoke to his disciples about their worries. He states that we must not worry about things that we do not have control over. In the first line of this verse it states "therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow." Jesus tells us that the day we are present in now has problems on its own, so we must take life one day at a time and face the problems which might arise today before worrying about tomorrows. Worldly worried such as these are not within our control, so we must take it day by day and face our obstacles in life head on, rather than feed into anxiety about what is to come in the future.
