In 1 Peter 4:1 the verse says that because Jesus physically suffered for the forgiveness of our sins, we ourselves should have or prepare to have similar mindset. This verse emphasizes the idea that when we go through hardships, we should have the same attitude and mindset as Jesus did. We should always try and remain strong and believe in our faith to carry us through hardships. The verse also insinuates that when we do go through difficult times, we should keep away from participating in sinful behaviors. 1 Peter 4:1 encourages Christians to be prepared to go through tough times and challenges in life, and know that faith will bring Christians out of darkness.
