This verse warns followers against sin. Sin is evil and we must not stray from a holy path and corrupt ourselves with it. Sin is often deceptive as this verse states, as it can seem attractive to us, or lure us in to believing it is the right choice for us. In the end, all sin remains evil and when we stray to it, we begin down a path which will keep us from God's blessings and the promise of happiness in our next life.
