In this verse the Psalm is calling out for there to be a celebration due to the entrance of the almighty and powerful King to Jerusalem. David urged for the gates to be lifted so that the King may enter. The entrance of the King, or the Lord, is so significant because he is the creator of all, and his never ending love and wisdom guides all to have peace and a holy life for all eternity. There is no other figure that holds this power, so he must be praised.
