This verse emphasizes the importance of being consistent in your faith. Paul gives commands in this letter to readers urging them to be strong and “stand firm” in their faith. Religion and having faith in God has always been opposed by others throughout history. To be a true believer and follower however, we must look beyond the opposition and remain steady in our faith. We must have the strength to stay true to God’s teachings, and remain on a holy path through our lives. We must praise the Lord, and follow him to everlasting life.
