This verse emphasizes the importance of waiting for the Lord. We must have patience in the same way God does for us. God’s mercy allows us forgiveness if we fail, and endless chances to get ourselves back on the correct path in life. In this same way, we much ask so show him patience and continue to do his work and remain faithful to him through our lives. It is not enough to just sit and wait for the day he comes to claim us and bring us to heaven. We must also spread his wisdom and his love onto others, inviting everyone to come and join the kingdom of God.
