In 2 Corinthians 4:16 it says that just because on the outside you look like you are hurting, it doesn't mean that you aren't healing and growing each day on the inside. In this verse, Paul explains that through other people's eyes, he may appear as if his body is "waisting away" from all of the suffering he has experienced in his life. He says that although he may look this way, internally he is growing and finding strength to continue on through God and Jesus's unwavering love.
