In this verse, the apostle Paul is describing how he led the Thessalonians to God. He had given them faith and saved them. He views his relationship with these people as that of a father and his children. Paul had delivered them to the Lord, which set them on a Holy path in life with God by their side. We as believers were also delivered to God by his teachings, and because of our faith, we have the strength of the Lord on our side. He will guide us through life and deliver us to everlasting peace and happiness.
