This verse explains a follower's duty to the Lord. God has set our teachings and commandments that we must obey to live a Holy life. He sent his servant Moses to give those of faith guidelines and laws that we are to follow to lead us to eternal life and happiness. We must have enough strength to not deviate away from this path that has been set out for us, and God will support us through.
