In John 17:7, Jesus is talking directly to God, saying Christians know that everything Jesus teaches is under Him. In the verse, Jesus explains that his followers know and believe that everything he has received such as the resources for his teachings and mission, does in fact come from God. He wants to make it clear to Christians that he has a strong relationship with God/is connected to Him, and that his actions and words are in line with God's views. Jesus wants his followers to have trust in him as he is the messenger of God's word and teachings.
