Isaiah 43:2 explained

In this verse, God is speaking to Jewish people who were being held in captivity. God is promising that he will be with them through their toughest battles and redeem them. In the verse he uses water, rivers, and fire to represent the captors that were persecuting these Jewish people. He describes that he will carry them through these challenging times, and will not let them be defeated. When we are faced with harsh trials during our lifetime. we must turn to God, for he will carry us through and lead us to peace.
