In this verse, Jesus is explaining to his disciples why they were not able to complete a task. His disciples had tried to cure a boy overcome by demons, but failed. Jesus saved the boy, and said to the disciples that the reason they failed was not because they could not do it, but rather because they did not have faith. This verse teaches followers that they can accomplish any task they face, as long as they have faith. Faith gives us the power to do the unimaginable, and as long as we believe we can, with the help of the Lord we are able to do anything.
