This verse describes how sin can force us to lie to others, as well as ourselves. Sin is evil, even if we choose to only take part in it once. By condoning committing sin once, we allow ourselves to view it as “not that bad.” Due to this thought process, we are more likely to continue to sin and lie to ourselves that it is okay that we sinned. We must use the strength that God provides us to not stray into this cycle, and to stay on a Holy path in life.
