Samson had the strength to pull down the Philistine god Dagon’s temple.

Have you ever wished for that type of strength?

The exciting news is that when we follow Christ, we can be filled with the strength to face any problem. Here are 5 bible verses that you can keep in mind to keep you strong even during difficult times.

Bible Verse #1: Psalm 119:28
My soul is weary (melts) with sorrow; strengthen (establish) me according to your word.

This verse gives us courage letting us know that if we abide in God’s word, we will be given strength. When God “establishes” us, it means God has granted us permanent acceptance. No matter what trials we face, we can experience enduring strength.

Bible Verse #2: 2 Corinthians 12:9
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

The grace given to us by Jesus is more than enough to strength us. We should not be fooled into thinking that any weakness is a sign of God failing. Our weaknesses are the perfect tool to help manifest His mercy and grace.

Bible Verse #3: Psalm 68:35
You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God!

Scripture is complete with examples of how God has provided the way for us. What should be our response to the strength given us by God? JOY and PRAISE! It’s perfectly normal to feel pain and grief. But ultimately, through the strength given to us through God, our lives should be examples of joy.

Bible Verse #4:  Isaiah 41:10
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

God promises us that He will strengthen us. Yes, we will experience hardships. But we know that the Creator is good who does good (Romans 8:28) and that everything that happens is by God’s design to bring us closer to Him.

Bible Verse #5: Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.

This scripture tells of the day the people of Israel heard the word of God, as read by Ezra the priest. The people were saddened because they realized they had not been following God. But the people were told that was a moment of joy. In the joy of drawing closer to God, we find strength.

Strength Through Our Faith In Christ Is God’s Gift!
