As Christians we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and have God in our corner, but we can at times feel afraid.
God Calls Us To Do His Work Boldly!
Let’s face it … doing Christ’s work isn’t easy. Maybe your church is having a special collection for victims of a natural disaster, but you have some bills coming due. Or perhaps you need to have a loving conversation with someone who has fallen into sinful activity. It takes courage to do the hard things.
2 Chronicles 15:7
But be ye strong (courageous), and let not your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.

- Esther as she fought for the lives of her people

You Have Everything You Need To Be Just As Heroic
These heroes share something in common with you. They all had faith that God was with them – always! And they had faith that God would NEVER desert them. God’s word assures the very same to YOU. God is with you. There’s no better reason to have courage!
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for Jehovah thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
What Will YOU Do With YOUR Courage?
The work that God has planned for you is unique.
Do you have a neighbor that needs to hear about Christ, but you’re afraid to bring up the subject? Does your church have a youth group that needs your wisdom for some very real problems and situations … but you’re overwhelmed at the idea of trying to help? Or perhaps your church needs a greeter, but you feel too shy to step up to the plate?
Matthew 14:27
But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer (take heart); it is I; be not afraid.
Don’t forget that the Holy Spirit dwells within you. So go ahead and hold your chin up as you get down to God’s work.
Joshua 1:9
